"Madonna" Questions

1.Madonna gained her fame partially by having a risque look and by singing about things like virginity, pregnancy, and money. How do you view her ad an artist in relation to Waters and Dylan, some of whose songs are, perphaps, more "serious"?
---I think Madonna could be an artist famous over the world, now she had been a part of American culture, not only because she was sexy, but also her had a excellent ability of performing. We can not judge her works just by vuglar lyrics. She foucs the problems of real society that most people were shame to talk. She were brave to talk about these, and said her idea in the songs. That was a great singer's mojo.

2.Madonna has kissed women, dated Lation and African-American men,and features sex and sexuality prominently in her videos and books.Do you think her variedtastes are just for show or publicity or do you think her openness is a postitve attribute?Explain your answer.
---

3.How do you see,or do you see,the history and culture of the 60s and 70s in Madonna's music?

Q 5&6

Q5:
I think blues reflected people' living situation in both lyrics & music. We can know stories from lyrics, and feel singers' emotion by the tone as well as melody. Blues singers' life have somthing indelightful. When lyrics (just one last dance) like "turning around~around~around~like the first time~", the melody sounds like "don't go please stay for awhile ". You can really feel girl's emotion that she's not willing to let the man go,but she knowed it's the last dance. All these songs i think are all from stories a little sad. Can't you feel a little sad from this lyrics and the melody?

Q6:
Blues can be sad also a little pity. As far as i heard, blues always told sad stories. But listening to blues makes me feel better when feel alone. That just like someone told you a sad story and after you feel sorry for the person in the story. Then you will feel better about yourslef. I enjoy the melody as well.

JUST ONE LAST DANCE

U can find this song on"http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/html/media/200804/14/a063ce7f410c93d5ac.mp3"
Just one last dance....oh baby...just one last dance
We meet in the night in the Spanish café
I look in your eyes just don’t know what to say
It feels like I'm drowning in salty water
A few hours left ‘til the sun’s gonna rise
Tomorrow will come an it’s time to realize
Our love has finished forever
How I wish to come with you (wish to come with you)
How I wish we make it through
Just one last dance
Before we say goodbye
When we sway and turn round and round and round
It’s like the first time
Just one more chance
Hold me tight and keep me warm
Cause the night is getting cold
And I don’t know where I belong
Just one last dance
The wine and the lights and the Spanish guitar
I’ll never forget how romantic they are
But I know, tomorrow I’ll lose the one I love
There’s no way to come with you
It’s the only thing to do
Just one last dance
Before we say goodbye
When we sway and turn round and round and round
It’s like the first time
Just one more chance
Hold me tight and keep me warm
Cause the night is getting cold
And I don’t know where I belong
......
Just one last dance
Just one more chance
Just one last dance
